Awww, thanks. They are quite endearing. I was afraid that letter might be a bit too melodramatic and manipulative, but it IS the sort of thing that would happen.

*sniffles*

I love that Hank can see what's been done, see what little he can accomplish, sees how much it will cost him personally, then *does it anyway* because no-one else can, and he can do good. That's heroic.

Movieverse Hank was one of the few things I liked about X3, and, and this is terrific - heartbreaking, but in a good way.

(Also: allow me to be amused at "the Brand Cooperation" as Hank's employers...)

Thank you!

(And, actually, the Brand Corporation is canon--it's the real name of the company Hank worked for when he left Xavier's in the comics, the place where he was working on finding the chemical cause of mutation that ultimately wound up making him blue and fuzzy. I always wondered if Joss cfeated Brand's name intentionally, especially with her closeness to Hank!)

It's so lovely and just. Pure 100% Hank. He was definitely one of the only highlights of that movie, and I really think you got him down pat, especially the way even his limited third person perspective has a scholarly tone. XD

:D Aww.

(Really, my third person limited is always scholarly in tone, because that's just how I write. But with Hank, it manages to look intentional!)
