I'll probably have a few entries later today, babbling about Veronica Mars (amazing), Civil War 7 (better than I expected, though not great), and all the other comics I'm going to read today.
But right now, I have to recommend
this to the flist. It's another chapter in what I am officially calling the Sallyverse, formerly known as the "Cap and

I need more Marvel icons. :P And more comic icons in general.

oh.
oh.
Okay, see, she isn't a mutant, she WAS perfectly normal, and that's part of what led her to the hard-partying socialite phase, you know? And then she gets out of rehab and goes to a Respectable Womens' College under a different name and is Very Serious and is Getting Her Life In Order, and gets exposed to a McGuffin and gets some sort of power.
And, she doesn't know how to tell her dads, so she sneaks around being a superhero, and when they come visit her at school there's all these perfect Ginger-Rogers-style comedy scenes, with hiding the outfits and mistaken assumptions?
And they think she's been sneaking her boyfriend, her new one, that nice boy, Simon, into the dorm, except Tony notices Sally's roommate Kaylee is perhaps a little overly-solicitous . . .

I LOVE YOU.
What powers should she have? And what's her code name? I'm tempted to make her my personal invisible/intangible/slightly telekinetic Mary Sue, Poltergeist, but if you or someone else can come up with something better, I'm all for it.
...I may have to look at pictures of Michelle Trachtenberg and make a "Sally Stark-Rogers" icon.

I think her dorm NEEDS to be like the boarding house in the movie Stage Door.
Which you need to rent/netflix/acquire in some way that perhaps doesn't bear looking at too closely, it matters not to me.

And I'm totally going to start manipping pics. Who is cast as Steve? (and Tony is you aren't sold on Downey Jr?)
She has to be a super hero. Mutant...? Hmmmm.

*points at resolute's comments* I'm liking this potential version of her powers.

Still thinking.
Maybe somebody in a period movie? I'm neutral on RDJ in general but I think he'd have to get made up a certain way to look like Tony, and I haven't seen any convincing pictures yet.
Also, interestingly enough, Tony's often drawn looking rather ethnic-looking (as opposed to the super-Aryan Cap) though he has blue eyes and a perfectly Anglo-Saxon name. (Though his mother was named Maria, so maybe Spanish or Italian blood?)

Cap and Tony are making Bobby stay far, far away from their daughter. (Besides, we all know he likes boys better anyway.)
But now I'm in a Sally/Jake from the Animorphs place. That's a little better.

>.< [doesn't remember Jake] I read a couple of the books, but that wasn't my series.
