Writing Goals 2019

Feb 06, 2019 17:42

I wanted to make an official post about this, just to have a record for myself. I have lots of WIPs. I have for years. My writing time is very limited, it takes me a long time to write things, and I get sidetracked by new stories. So my goal for 2019 is to actually finish a few things! This is my list for the year.

A Warblers' Reunion (Glee) - one chapter left, partly written.

Wounded With His Wounded Heart (Sherlock) - one chapter left, partly written.

Tumnus' Corner (Chronicles of Narnia) - one chapter left (in theory).

New Beginnings (Harry Potter) - two chapters left (in theory).

If I can get those done, it will be a small miracle - that would be more fic chapters than I've managed to do in one year in a long time. In addition, I'd like to keep whittling away at the following, adding chapters in this way:

We'll Be There to Defend One Another (Newsies) - three new chapters, also all partly written.

Sweet Summer Music (Newsies) - three new chapters.

Beautiful Chaos (The West Wing) - one new chapter, partly written already.

This is ambitious, even for me, but a friend and I have just come up with the idea of trying to write 900 words/week - 300 words 3x/week. If we keep track of each other and root each other on, I think I can use that to try and get some of these completed.

Do the rest of you have writing goals for this year? Techniques you use to actually finish fics? Talk to me in the comments! :)
