Again, thank you very much! I spent a long, long time thinking about the psychology in this fic - I know the John and Sherlock I see on the screen are not the same ones that everyone sees, but I wanted to make sure I had a solid articulation of what I believed to be true about each of them.

I had been working on this story for about three weeks before the first chapter was published, and in three weeks I wrote 27,000 words. I think that's a record for me! I had a general idea of where the story was going when I started writing, and a few of the things I thought of are still waiting to appear in upcoming chapters. How Lestrade and Mrs. Hudson and Molly find out about Sherlock, for example, was pretty much planned from the beginning. Other things have just appeared as I wrote; I knew Sherlock and John had to talk about Irene, but I wasn't sure how that conversation was going to pan out - it took me forever to write even after I had talked and talked with my beta about it. The chapters have been coming more slowly the past couple of months because I have been very, very busy at work and have had very little time to write, but I'm hoping to catch up a bit over the holidays. :)
