my ears are STILL ringing from the evening of awesome rock last night at rock lobster's! waltz for venus, emerson rose, and stereo deluxe...now THAT's a dream lineup. it was fun...brandy and i both got carded, which made my day...it's so great to walk into a bar and the person doesn't know if you're old enough to be there....ahhhhhhh......every year, i appreciate that more. :) aaron got free cokes all night from the bartender, because he had hooked him up with some gear at guitar center...niiice. brandy and i dished recipes and talked about corningware...and other wifely things...oh, and we couldn't help but laugh at these two girls who REALLY thought they could dance...it was painful, but hilarious, to watch. i'm so glad you were there, brandy!!! again...wish we lived closer.... *sniff*
waltz had some sound-guy issues at the beginning, but they pulled it together and rocked nice and hard. jay's been impressing me a lot lately, getting back to his super-aggressive self when he's up there...and it carries the show quite well, i think. (don't think i mean you weren't awesome before...it just seems that you've kind of rediscovered the spark that's in you...i mean it as a good thing! i noticed it about four or five shows back.) i could listen to you guys all day. :)
emerson rose and stereo deluxe were fun, as always...i felt so proud that waltz for venus and those guys are all friends, and able to bring a great show together. i hope they do it again soon.
EXCITING NEWS: we heard yesterday that waltz for venus was contacted about a possible licensing agreement with a show on mtv...it might just mean that they get put into the catalogue, and don't actually end up being on the show...OR a waltz for venus song could be on it! aaron's afraid to get his hopes up...but i can't help it!!!!!!!! my imagination runs wild when it comes to how far they could go.....
i need to get started packing, but i don't have boxes yet. :( maybe aaron'll bring me some home from work. i have to prepare myself for my house NOT BEING PERFECTLY CLEAN all the time...can i handle it? we'll see, i guess!
