Huuu well I couldn't sleep last night (thanks to ....sinus issues of all things) and I'm probably going to end up taking a nap today cuz I still feel like crap but..
Mm I guess I just wasn't paying much attention but the person that Alma stepped on (when he first was revived) really looked like him (and it would have made more of an impact, I think) that I guess anyone else I saw who LOOKED like him--was just another scientist, and so I shrugged it off because I already assumed he was dead XD (so basically I feel kinda like 'wat' that he's still alive...so it's almost a good thing that he's probably going to die soon...as horrible as that sounds)
Yeah I think it was a translation issue (as you said it doesn't sound as bad in Japanese) and well honestly I can't blame him for wanting to. but I do wonder what'll happen when he finds out that Edgar specifically ordered Fou not to protect them if Alma attacked (essentially meaning they knew they would eventually die for their sins and accepted it wholeheartedly). With how far gone Alma is it might not matter, but it might do something. Or at least I hope it will.
Mm I am too, it was nice to read after feeling like crap all morning XD *hates sinus headaches* Fou does seem to be good at doing that (despite not even really knowing what was going on at first. I'll have to re-read but did she even get a good look at Alma yet?)
And something's telling me that while he may 'save' him (in the fact that he might get retribution) I don't think Alma will live. That would seem too...cliched. Yeah Alma was wrong to kill the people he killed, but they were experimenting on him (even if they DID know the cost--they still didn't stop when they could have) so to me his rage is justifiable even if he needs to find a better way to...vent it? But yeah only time will tell, really. >.>
Long comment ahead :3 We probably need MSN, or something in the future...aorinJuly 3 2010, 19:03:23 UTC
Oh dear, I hope you get well soon. Being sick really sucks D:
I can see why people might mistake him for being Zuu. It caught me offguard for a second, then I noticed that he was wearing a labcoat and tie, and I was like, "meh, not Zuu." That and I was busy looking for Bak panels and Zuu happened to be there XD But yes, I agree with you that Zuu probably won't live past this arc, especially what he has done in this chapter :3 It would be a good closure for him too, I guess, he did live a long life.
I'm a bit confused, are we talking about Alma or Bak now? XD If it's Bak, I do hope he finds out that his parents died willingly to pay for their sins. Though I think Bak is generally just soft-hearted and doesn't want more people to die or be sacrificed (which does put his actions of dragging Fou into battle into question, but I guess it couldn't be helped with Fou's job)
As for Alma, when Kanda asked Alma 'did you have to kill everyone, including Edgar?', young Alma looks guilty for a second and then cried because he couldn't stop regenerating. But in the future, Alma looks like he just doesn't care and just wants to kill Kanda (though it could be the Earl's influence as well).
I do hope that Alma will come into terms with his hatred in the end and realise that, despite all the crap that the scientists put him through, they do care about him and already paid for their sins with death.
Haha, Fou probably has a century of experience telling people what to do (or she'll beat them up XD). I think she was confused for a moment, though Allen might have filled her in between page 17-18 (how else would she know about the Earl's FORBIDDEN TEMPTATION, let alone Alma was there and those monster thingy was a Third) :3
Not only would it be cliche. But imagine what the Central will do to him. No matter what his reasons are, he had massacred the 6th lab and destroyed the NA Branch, the Central will not forgive him so easily. Well, I can't really take side between Alma and the scientists, it's a morally gray area, and one side is just as much a victim as the other... T_T *thinking of it makes my head breaks*
Don't worry XD *this isn't long at all*harmony283July 3 2010, 21:06:43 UTC
All things considering, yeah XP We just made muffins and I'm feeling better...I think?
Mhm yeah and in the extra info they obviously said he had some sort of secrets/things he had done that he wasn't proud of (besides the obvious?) so yes this would be his way of redeeming himself of that? I guess?
I'm talking about Alma XD (because I'm assuming Bak already knew they died and he probably found out from Fou the rest of the story/etc)
Mm it might be yeah. And to think that's partly Leverrier's fault for implanting him with the shards from that...egg thing to create the 3rds. It makes me wonder what would have happened if he hadn't had that happen to him (and was just in a coma) since he was still very much human before XP
Yeah hopefully, since it was more than obvious with Edgar and Twi that they really were heartbroken over the whole thing (methinks they were forced to not stop? That and they had their hopes riding on that this would work...it was just a bad situation all around x.x)
Oh definitely XD *or well, if you figure how old she is and such* most likely since she was literally called out of the blue from the Asian Branch XD that's a lot of stuff to fill her in on (but I think wasn't she just --fighting against Tyki? *will have to go back and check* and I know she was attacking Tokusa though you could still...sorta see him and his name was probably shouted somewhere) I hope she'll be okay though XP
Not to mention he literally was turned into an Akuma...though in the end that was also their fault (or Leverrier's) to begin with...I think the whole thing is just a gray area that no one's really sure what to do with. So death I guess, in a way would be his own redemption? (Since redemption is different for different people. Those who survived the massacre *like Renee* might have a different view on what redemption is...to some it may be dying to make up for their sins, but to others it might be staying alive to make up for them. So...yeah we'll see. *nods*
