71. Obsession
World: PokeSpe
Character(s): Gold, Silver, mentions of Blue
Rating: T (for now)
Cameo: Izaya from DRRR! (if you squint)
A/N: Actually a preview to a much larger work that I'm planning to write...soon (hopefully). This part wasn't based after a dream, but it leads up to it. It's like a Prequel of sorts. As you can see--there's a "Cameo" slot--meaning yes this is a Crossover XD Right now it's a crossover between PokeSpe, DGM and ...a few other series have characters appearing. Oh yes, Silver and Gold are 18 in this.

"Sooooo," Gold leered, leaning against the counter, eyes flashing in that particular way that Silver /knew/ meant something was either wrong--or going to be wrong very, very soon.
"No." He placed the glass back on the counter with a clink, "Whatever it is--no."
"But I haven't even said anything yet!"
Silver gave him a sharp look, "You’ve had enough time to think about it.” It wasn’t a question, it was a statement, and Gold gave an overly enthusiastic nod, “Isn’t that enough?”
“But, but,” Now he looked hurt-now he was pouting. Silver did his best to ignore him, “okay Silv that’s just mean. I listen to your ideas all the time!”
“Because they actually seem to work?” The man in the corner wearing the fur-lined hooded jacket did not go unnoticed; Silver’s eyes narrowed, “Now do us both a favor and keep it down.”
“But Silv,” Silver picked up the glass again, “This isn’t fair-we always do what you want to do and not what I want to do!”
“Because what you want to do is brash and idiotic and-” Suddenly he felt his pocket vibrate but before he could reach it Gold had grabbed it (personal space-he kept…invading his personal space) and was looking at whatever was on the screen, “Who is it?”
“Blue,” Maybe Silver was imagining things, but then again maybe he wasn’t, “Uh…I think you’ll get it more than I would but -” He held the screen up so Silver could read the words.
Change of Plans. Get out. Meet me at Celadon’s Department Store, Rooftop. Bring a friend :3
“Is that supposed to be a cat face?” Silver could tell the question was forced, not that he could blame Gold any, “cuz it kinda looks like-”
“Gold.” Gold swallowed, “Shut up. Let’s go.”
The mission was supposed to be perfect, after all. Except for that one person who kept staring at them (he’d make sure to tell Blue. Maybe she figured out what happened? Maybe she knew?), so now-what had happened? What had gone wrong?
Why did Blue want to meet them? He cast a glance at Gold who followed him, face a mask of stubbornness but eyes showing through to the worry hidden underneath, and sighed. He’d just have to find out.

It didn’t take them long to reach their destination (now that the Bullet Train was working again), and honestly Gold was glad. He’d seen Silver’s face go from annoyed to deathly pale, and he was already worrying his bottom lip enough (probably unintentionally. He did those sorts of things unintentionally), as he stared out the window-Gold wanted nothing more than for him to stop.
But then he had no idea what was going on. Or-he did but, “Silv?” Silver jolted and Gold immediately retracted the hand that had somehow wormed it’s way from under the straps of his bag at their feet, “Hey, hey, Sorry! I didn’t-”
“What?” Gold flinched and Silver sighed, “We’ll be there in a few minutes. You can ask then.”
“Well technically we’ll be in Saffron in a few min-” Silver shot him a dirty look, “Yeesh, yeah you’re right. Okay what then?”
“Didn’t I just--?” Silver let out a louder sigh and pressed his forehead against the cool glass. Gold tried hard not to feel like an idiot, “Never mind. Just-it’s crowded.” The train wasn’t that crowded, “Later.”
“Not my fault I didn’t know what was goin’ on.” Gold frowned and kicked the (empty) seat in front of him, “You always do this Silv.” He adjusted his hat and looked up at the dirty ceiling, “You both do. Gah, dammit I guess I just shouldn’t ask anymore should I?” Silver snorted from next to him, but Gold didn’t bother to look because he was certain Silver hadn’t moved.
Because he was like that.
How could you know someone without knowing anything about them? How the hell did that even work? Gold groaned and closed his eyes-it made his head hurt just thinking about it. He knew he wasn’t stupid-and dammit he hated feeling like he was.
But it wasn’t like he was going to get an answer, so why bother? Why, well-anything? Because shit’s gone down and I don’t know how to help. Come to think of it, yeah he hated feeling stupid but he hated this feeling more. His hand clenched into a fist but before Silver could see it (was he even looking?) Gold tucked it away beneath his arm.
Hopefully it’s nothing too serious.
Maybe he was being too optimistic.
