Stole from girlfriend because she was doing this as stress relief (do a drabble for every song that pops up on random, and if it's a song you don't like, stop and go back to work XD) also spamming one of my pretty Rhode icons *loves this one* (it's from
threeblindmice if you're interested) THANKS to
meggle_star for choosing the number of songs *nod*
01. Snow Kiss by NIRGILIS
It didn't really hit until it was too late, and a little too soon, and somehow--maybe--it was for the best. Or maybe not--when he spat onto the already soiled ground, at the rapidly decaying bodies.
This wasn't it.
Because he--didn't feel anything, and it was a little more than painful. Even with the pained gasps and disintegrating bodies--from those who had been lucky enough to just get hit and be poisoned.
"This isn't right." He jolted and turned, and smiled. Allen was standing there, conviction thick and palatable. He wasn't sure when he had grabbed Yuu's hair tie--but did it really matter--"Let's go. I'm sure we can find him. He's probably just fighting."
They exchanged nods, after all--what could they do?
Yuu-chan was Yuu-chan and he fought a little more than recklessly.
No one could really blame him, could they? No. They couldn't.
Lavi let out a ragged sigh, stumbling along,
"We'll find him." Allen repeated, stepping over bodies, under leaning buildings, threatening collapse, "We'll find him."
Lavi hoped he was right.
02. What If by Creed
It was a sad song, Road decided, frowning slightly as the fingers played across the keyboard--the Earl had been playing nonstop. It was so. So. Sad.
"Earl-Sama," She murmured, moving forward--steps light as feather on the plush carpet--reaching out until the touched shaking shoulders--"Earl-sama," she repeated, looping her arms steadfastly around his neck and nuzzling into the familiar scent, scooting and shifting until she was on the bench as well--watching as the fingers splayed helplessly against the keys.
"It's not the same." She watched him choke on a sob he had been trying to hold in. Then another--to go with the sobs--"He needs to play this--my Musician."
Road simply nodded, pulling him closer, "I know. It's not the same." She didn't dare mention his name. It would only bring pain, "When do you think he'll be reborn?"
The shoulders tensed under her grip, and for a breathless second she almost wished the words hadn't fallen from between her lips, but she wouldn't take them back. Her brothers and sisters had been murdered by this man. This man they had called one of their own--it was the deepest felony, the worst charge.--
"Earl-sama."
He simply shook his head, "I ....Road--if he is revived I don't think--" but his sobs cut him off before he could finish that sentence.
03. Hugurashi no Naku Koro ni by Shimamiya Eiko
"what are you saying?" He sat there and stared in disbelief, watching as Walker stood and traced a random pattern on the window--it almost looked like he was tracing a shape--a human--and Link frowned, "Walker, what are you saying?" He stood from his spot, comfortable in one of the many library chairs, and took two steps forward, for all intents and purposes ready to drag his young charge away from the window.
Back to their rooms.
To report the Incident immediately.
But before he could reach out, to touch him, a broken sob passed through too pale lips, and his hand fell from the window--to crawl back up to his face, "Link..." he trailed off, shaking his head, hair falling messily around--unkempt--unusually so--"Inspector...can you....I think...I'm done with paper work for today." Link caught the tensing, and sudden relaxation of shoulders--he had gotten used to it, under close watch it was frequent.
He wondered if it meant a sign of trust but he pushed it aside, opting for a slow nod instead, "Of course." It didn't change the fact that he would report it though.
04. I'm Not Your Boyfriend by 3Oh!3
Lavi was only vaguely aware of the door slamming shut--and him stumbling into yet another barely lit room, connecting harshly with a pair of very fluffy cushions--
Oh. And the fact he was very, very horny. Which he shouldn't be. Especially not now. When he righted himself and turned around--watching in the dim light, as the person he thought was his innocent (though maybe not so much--not after that) best friend, walked towards him and --
Smiled.
Shit, shit shit.
"How're you feeling? He wondered with every pretense of kindness, crawling up--over him and suddenly Lavi was very much aware that he was pinned to cushions beneath him, even though he knew he could easily push Allen of if he wanted to. Somewhere in his hazy brain--however--he figured--Joker was the more correct term...wasn't it? Yes. Yes it was.
He let out a shaky breath, swallowing, when his head got just a little closer and asked once more, "How're you feeling?"
Lavi hated that he could only get out a small squeak, and a nod--
"You sure?" and he hated the breathless quality of the other boy's voice, it was --doing weird things--to his nerves, putting them on ends that he didn't really want them to be on.
This was wrong! He had--he had--
"You don't look like it." And then--oh god--
"N-Neh Al--len, um," He squirmed, he could feel his hardness--it was obvious and embarrassing and this--was--his--friend--he shouldn't be--
Then Allen ground down--
Shit--
"Allen! Oi --h-hey!"
"Hm?~ "
Shit, shit, shit--"You--dun--have to I mean--"
"But you're still thinking of him, aren't you?" He backed up a little and frowned, small and concerned, "and that means I'm not doing my job correctly."
Lavi's mouth ran dry, "What?"
05. Move Along by The All American Rejects
It was supposed to be funny. It was supposed to be--a joke. He guessed. Maybe. Sort of. Except it wasn't quite so funny anymore--when he watched him actually--oh shit--
"I--I--"
"Real smooth Baka--" Yuu hissed, clenching his hand in a tight fist, holding it there for a few stagnant minutes and watching, almost amused, as the blood flowed between his fingertips--
"I--didn't--know."
"Know what?" Dark eyes glared at him, and Lavi swallowed once more, "That there was fucking glass in there?" He could only nod his head mutely at that--lips opening and closing trying to find the accurate kind of apology--"Well too bad, I don't believe you."
"But Yuu!"
"Just go."
"You're bleeding."
He blinked at him--smirking, "Pointing out the fucking obvious, as always, rabbit?"
Lavi shook his head violently, "N-No--it was a joke! I didn't--know--I mean--"
"Some Joke." Lavi's chest hurt entirely too much at that.
06. Real World by Matchbox 20
"If I told you that would you believe me?" It was a rhetorical question, Allen knew that, but he couldn't help his jaw practically dropping as he stared at the one person--out of all of them--okay yeah that was--
He swallowed, "R-Really?" She nodded her head, eyes flashing with a deep conviction that he couldn't beat no matter what, "But--Lenalee, what about Komui?"
He didn't like the growl, but he figured it was kind-of amusing, "If I was worried about him then I wouldn't be telling you this. I wouldn't be asking you to believe me--I mean--after all I already did it so."
"So?"
"Do you believe me?" She asked again, leaning closer.
Allen blinked, flushed--tried to imagine--but--the dots weren't connecting--and it was a bit awkward because her hand was on his leg now, crawling up to pinch at his thigh--"Well I know--with Anita at the movie theatre but--you wouldn't."
"Oh I would." The smile turned a bit sharper, and the hand fell in his lap.
"Lena--"
He didn't even get a chance to yelp--
Before she was laughing.
07. Apologize by Timbaland (feat. One Republic)
Miranda swallowed, allowing the hand around hers to squeeze just a little tighter--'I...must...please...' she couldn't see anymore, tears blurring her eyes.
But. He. wouldn't. Move.
"I'm here." He whispered with a kind smile, hands, big and warm on her shoulders, and she couldn't help but smile--softly. Yes. He was here, wasn't he? He would--but--he--would--die protecting her. Or would he? She didn't know, eyes traveling down to that lone hand, the two fingers that had been hit, and severed.
Because of the poison.
The poison she was protecting them from.
"I'm sorry," she let out a low, shaky breath, and he chuckled, pulling her closer, "I'm so sorry..."
"It's fine."
"No it isn't!" She wanted to snap at him, but then she didn't, when he picked her up and manuevered her, just a bit, into his lap, away from the blood curdling screams of Akuma--her head was pounding, "It isn't--okay..."
"But it is." He murmured, "You're doing your best."
08. Makes Me Wonder by Maroon5
"That's a date."
Kanda paused, turned, "What? Was that? Moyashi?"
"It's. A. Date," he saw a thin finger point randomly--his face stuffed in a book, "You mean you didn't know?"
"No." He blanched, shoving the next book in the bookshelf, "Che--it wasn't. What the fuck are you talking about?"
"Lots of things." a pair of grey eyes shot him a knowing look over the really-thick-book Kanda knew he wasn't really reading, "Lavi knows more--and you just got you a date."
"I. Did. Not."
"Yeah. You so did."
These books weren't that important (who the hell checked out Tom Sawyer anyway?) and they were heavy and--he chucked one at the vegetable taking up space in the damned library--before shoving another back into the shelf--
"The Librarian's gonna get mad at you!"
"Che, so?"
09. Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day
It was in a flash of silver and gold and too many dark shadows that they realized maybe something was a bit wrong. A bit or more--but here they were, standing in a perfect line, smiling--a new doctor--smiling just as equally back at them, a nervous twitch, but then what were they to expect?
"I'm one of the new Doctor's on staff--I hope to...get to know you all." He said--all smiles, all--something--"My practice isn't heard of so--I hope it will be of some use to you."
They had heard about it sure. Just like they had heard about other things. They were being evaluated. Vatican's order. Disobediance. It was--interesting, because--well--would it work? Interested and afraid.
"I'm Allen," the Doctor smiled a little wider, "Allen Walker--it's...nice to meet you." His grip was strong.
"I'm Lenalee Lee," She introduced herself second, hand soft with consent, "This is Kanda Yuu," She pointed to the recluse--he wouldn't shake hands. Of course not, "Um...I'm sure you already were introduced to the others earlier--Krory, um, Chouji, Marie, and the Generals..." she trailed off--"But there's one--more--"
"Yeah, where'd Lavi go? he should be here."
The Doctor's hand twitched again--nervous habit, "I see--he's late? Oh no, a trouble maker?" He let out a chuckle, "I'd like to meet him too, if I can."
They nodded.
And nodded.
And then the door opened--"Oh I don't think you will be."
The twitch turned to a quake.
10. If You Only Knew by shinedown
"Nothing's wrong." It was a lie, they knew it was, when they saw--him--standing there. He hadn't moved an inch since the news passed between their lips, "Nothing's Wrong." He didn't think they'd believe him, it was almost laughable, really. Fingernails sinking into flesh even through the rough fabric of a lab coat.
It was funny, though.
He had always pictured himself that way, didn't he? His lips tilted slightly--eyes narrowing through blurred tears. But he wouldn't cry--wouldn't cry because it wasn't fair. It wasn't fair but it was their own fault--he knew--
He just--He just--
He swallowed.
He could take it. He was an adult now. So he turned away from the graves, just as easily as if they had never been there--
And there--standing behind him.
A boy.
Yuu Kanda
The--experiment.
"They're dead."
He could barely nod his head before the words were out--"I'm sorry." dark eyes widened, and he leaned down, in front of the boy--he was so young--"I'm sorry."
11. Let the Rhythm Take Control by Techno Trance/unknown artist
When the blade cut through flesh he decided it was high time near no time--he needed to get out out out. Out of here, where he could see and they could see and they could all see why couldn't they?
He frowned deeply--another gash, another wound--they didn't even take another look, but he supposed that was it wasn't it? His lips pressed thinly in a line, at the garbled sounds--muted--
A dance club.
He was in a dance club.
When had that happened? He swallowed, mouth dry. Unbelievably so. He couldn't breathe against the crushing bodies--one grinding against his--he could feel the cool metal of a prosthetic arm and he knew who it was --and half wondered--where did that come from? What was he on--he couldn't breathe--every end--of every nerve was thrumming, and he was quite aware of something cold brushing his lower stomach but he didn't stop moving because what would happen if he did?
The thrumming music, crashed, shook--and suddenly he was being turned, ground against like he was some fucking whore (he knew he wasn't but) and--there was a hand in his damned hair--and a smirking face-
Suman of course. It was always him, wasn't it?
Kanda let out a low groan, one he hadn't meant to let slip and nearly almost pushed the man back--but there were chains--not real--no he knew they weren't, but he nearly stumbled--and the man made it look intentional--Goddammit--
He couldn't breathe.
The Chains--like when he was chained to that bed. He was glad the scars healed.
So glad.
So fucking glad.
"So you finally snapped out of it, eh?" The breathy whisper in his ear made him shudder too much, "Damn and it was just getting good." The hands at his waist, on his stomach didn't move--
Kanda growled, but left them there.
Goddammit.
12. Friends and Family by Trik Turner
"Blueberry cobbler." A smile stretched silently over Jarts lips as he watched Jade's eyes widen--book immediately forgoed and forgotten--in opt for the dessert--
"You didn't make this did you?" The young teen ask, and Jart laughed--
"Would you eat it if I made it?"
Jade frowned, thoughtful for about two seconds before shaking his head, "Nah. Well. Maybe. Can you cook?"
"That's a secret."
Jade blinked--looked up at him, then down at the dessert--"Why?" a small curious frown playing it's way across his lips--a thing he had picked up from his dad, Jart knew--blood relatives or not--"You're laughing again. Why do you always laugh?"
"Happy." He said, calming the chuckles he just realized--well--he had to stop that. Eventually, "Sorry, sorry."
"Not sorry just," He dug one fork in and held it up to Jart, "Taste?"
Jart smiled again--threatened to laugh--and opened his mouth, allowing the tasty treat to be...well--hmm--
"Too much sugar."
Jade smiled, "Tha's how I like it!"~
13. Never Die by Creed
"Y'know--I never realized." Timothy hummed, tracing a random pattern on the fogged up glass of the train. He realized too--that he had their attention, and--it felt a little nice.
So he continued speaking, "War is...a bad thing isn't it?"
"It is." An immediate answer.
"Che,"
"It happens."
Timothy turned back--to the redhead--the one he had just recently met.
What?
"It happens?" He gave a terse nod of his head, and the jerk looked even further away, and Allen-Walker--whatever just looked tense.
"Yup."
"Unforutnately." Came the reply from behind a really thick book and irritated face.
"So--this isn't unusual?"
"Sorta." Sharp eyes glared--each--"What?~ It's a war yeah but it's not normal." At least, well, maybe. He smiled--and Timothy didn't like it.
It was weird but--but--
"Then why--?"
"Because people die." And he was up and out of his seat before another word could be said, leaving them alone in the train compartment.
14. Girl Next Door by Saving Jane
She wasn't jealous. No. She wasn't--not when she saw Allen decked out all in white--prim and proper (even more so than usual) and her--hanging on his arm, smiling with a matching dress, looking--as beautiful as someone like her could.
She wanted to cry. Really she did--she had loved Allen for how long, and now it was the final blow--even with her gowns, and the compliments--it wasn't the same.
And she wanted to cry. She really did--when she saw Allen loop one arm, awkwardly, around her waist and pull her closer--and--and--
She didn't want to hate Road.
Hadn't they talked about this before?
Hadn't they?
Now they were laughing and she felt her heart break--even--even when her attention was snapped back, during the next second to the podium where she was being called.
A crown waiting for her.
The smiling face of a boy she hardly knew--there as well.
Even as the Prom Queen.
She just wanted Allen--that was all.
15. Shake It by Metro Station
"You're crazy!" Allen hissed out, watching silently as Road continued to climb--higher and higher--"If you fall--"
"I won't fall." she hummed, giggling, "I just need to--get this--I mean~" she let out another giggle and glanced down at him, "You like the panty shot, don't you?~"
Allen's face burned, "No. But if--we--don't--this isn't the time!"
"You want to get out of here don't you?"
"But how can you even--" Climb a tree that isn't even real. But he snapped his mouth shut--"Road--!"
"Besides even if I fall it won't hurt. This isn't my real body. Oh--but I'm sure that Bookman Jr. told you that." Allen stiffened--eyes widened, "What?"
She let out another high pitched giggle, "Oh? He didn't well!" and she laughed again.

DONE. A little key for your convenience:
04-is a mini sequel to Joker
06- may be a part of Bad Romance's timeline. May be.
10-spoiler!speculation for Bak (between Bak and Kanda *nod*)
11-Another thing for BR's timeline
12-Jart and Jade are two OCs that will come in later in Cradle's time frame. Jade is essentially Lavi's son. Jart is the son of two of my other OC's that are appearing. this one's basically for
meggle_star since she likes the pairing XD
14-possibly Pressure's timeframe also funny cuz this takes the exact opposite of what the song talks about.
15- spoilers for after Chapter 190--basically speculation, but I mean--I wonder Allen and Road's reaction to this. Or how they're going to get out. This is just random XD
the rest are just random ideas. *shrugs* that came along with the songs. And no I didn't cheat >D *so proud of self*
