Since I was having computer issues earlier, I wasn't able to link to one. Though now I can so this is what it is:
★ I don't even remember where the heck I found this wallpaper to begin with, but methinks it was thanks to D. Gray Divinity and it's lovely LaviYuu fanart thread XD
★ I like it, obviously, because it has two of my favorite characters on it (Lavi, and Kanda).
★ It's also a 'safe' picture of these two, which is highly important due to the fact I have a very religious roommate and yeah, it would've been awkward otherwise XD
★ I also like it for it's rather simplistic background (it...also is one of the few that doesn't get cut off, or look weird as a background)
★ I also like the meaning behind it. Or what it could mean. Though this was fairly subconscious until one of Caitlin's friends pointed it out to me when she was over. After that, I've refused to change it because I adore it so much XD (before this I would've switched every couple of weeks/days/hours XD) *this is her first constant background*
You know how sometimes people on your friendslist post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Amanda. It means "To be loved" in Latin, though I'm not sure if my parents intended it for that...or because it sounded musical. I normally go by "Mandy", though (which is another reason my parents chose the name "Amanda" because it had the nickname 'mandy' attached to it...and because "Mandy" rhymes with "Randy" and Randy is my Uncle's name XD) as probably everyone already knows...heck, I probably won't respond to "Amanda" immediately if you call me that in public XD
☆ Age
18, Pisces, born in Bay City, Texas at 7:15AM in the morning...about a week before I was actually due, apparently XD (mom and dad had gone to the movies, and...mom basically felt weird there, so they had to leave and they went immediately to the hospital *laugh*)
☆ Location
I live in Alabama...the place where, even though it's in the southeast USA and is usually VERY warm, the temperature is prone to drop about 30 degrees overnight. Oh and when the weather says 'rain' think 'sunshine' XD It also hardly ever snows before January, which is kinda sad. There's also not much else to do, despite me going to University in one of the biggest civil rights capitals in the US (or one of the most well known when the civil rights movement was going on *unfortunately not for good reasons*)
☆ Occupation
I'm a Biology (with an emphasis on Marine Science) Major at UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham), which is a well known Medical University in the region, and is placed in 3rd for most diverse student population (simply because if you go here...something about getting into Nursing School is a lot easier? Or something?) I currently don't have a job, but I do volunteer at the Children's Hospital (literally across the street from where I go to school) Gift Shop on Wednesday's from 2PM to 5PM *nod*

littlelinor <--for...how long now? Over a year and a half? (if we start at the May date) Over a year still (if we count the Halloween date), and I've officially known her for...um...3 years? As of today XD (because this is the first day she reviewed for a fanfic of mine, and we decided to make that the date). And we're definitely happy together, which makes me happy...and-and-and--she's coming down here for Christmas! *so happy/excited about that*
☆ Kids
Ironically enough (with the fact that I volunteer at the Children's Hospital) kids...um...I'm not my best around them. I'm always highly nervous because I'm afraid I'll hurt them. Also I've had bad experiences with them being really mean to me (like, I got stuck with one in 5th grade when there was this 'big sister/brother' program. The girl I got stuck with was cute...but highly spoiled--HIGHLY spoiled, and made me feel like I was stupid/inadequate because of how much her 3 older brothers spoiled her *shudder*) that doesn't go to say I don't WANT kids. Maybe just one, though. A boy. *nod*
☆ Brothers/Sisters
I've got one older sister, who's...well, she's 21 now, and I'm 18, you do the math XD Though she goes to a different University than I do (and is an Art Major)...the thing is, I might graduate with her, or just one year after her *it depends on how everything works out*, simply because no one ever told her what classes she should take when, and thus she's severely behind in some classes that she needs for her major. Annoying, isn't it?
☆ Friends
I prefer to have few friends, than a large group of friends *simply because it's easier to pay attention to all of them* though to me, the only difference between friends and acquaintances are...how much I'm willing to trust you, and of course, I'm more likely to feel comfortable snapping at you if I haven't heard from you in a while, or if you don't turn something in XD Considering I was practically known for never blowing up at anyone in highschool (really) ...er, yeah...that's kinda major XD Though I do dislike debating, especially when we have two different views, so in those points I'd probably try to find a nice middle ground. *suddenly....feels really weird...* um...
☆ Pets
I've had 3, Amber, Clover, and Melissa. Amber lived until she was about 15 (err 6 months before her 16th birthday)...so she died from old age. Clover...um...*wince* she-she died because of...well, she had epilepsy, they aren't sure what caused it...but she..would go into these attacks whenever...people would start fighting and it was just...really painful when she died. *because she slept in my room and everything* she was also VERY young too (only 4). Um, we got Melissa *current dog* literally right after her, mostly for mom's sake...and I wound up choosing her at the humane society...because she was the only puppy who wouldn't bark. XD She's a Cocker Spaniel/Terrier mix and...she's...so cute!~ Though she often treats strangers better than us XD (it was cute, for the first 3 days she didn't bark. At all. Like she was afraid to. She's also scared of other dogs/cats/animals in general *shakes head*)
☆ Parents
Mine...um, well...my mom is very sweet, but...she's quiet. Very quiet, and very passive (to the point it's, um, bad), but she's very easy to get along with...and she's also extremely good at those 'silent guilt trips that you don't realize are guilt trips until afterward' she can make me feel bad without even trying XD She also works at a Books-A-Million, which yes, means I get discounts on books~ Which is wonderful~ My dad on the other hand is very social, he's great with kids (especially those ranging from 13 to 18) due to working with Track for so long, and he's extremely funny. He has an atrociously bad temper though (one of the reasons I try to keep mine in check *avoids situations where she'd get angry*) depending on the situation, and while he can handle stress..he needs quiet time. So our house is generally quiet and relaxed. He's a Nuclear Engineer, and he helps out a bunch with volunteering stuff. As for if I get along with them? Again, I get along with mom, and my dad...though recently they've both been kinda hinting that they 'know something' about me...(me and Linor, basically *hasn't told them*) but just like me--they won't outright say it...even though dad told me once that 'we're a family that talks about our problems to each other'...right. Um, only because--oh never mind *shakes head* so yeah, basically I get along with them. Though there are certain things about them both that...irritate me...
☆ LIST THE 5 BIGGEST THINGS GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE
-My girlfriend. Hands down, biggest thing (mostly because of her visiting this winter, and all the stuff that goes with that), also helps that I've never had a romantic interest for this long XD *or at all for that matter*
-SCHOOL. OHMYGOSH it's taking over my liiiiife. AND finals are coming up--but we still have a crapload of stuff to do--oh shit. THAT PAPER *headdesk* I CAN'T BELEIVE I FORGOT ABOUT THAT PAPER *headdesk* *sobcryinacorner*
-Writing, again is also another big thing that's going on in my life right now. Considering I have two things to do by the very-fast-approaching-yes end of the month. And I haven't even started on either of them, and I'm afraid I won't have time to do them in *dies a little*
-I just realized I might also wanna start looking for a job soon (because since I volunteer in a GIFT SHOP I figured I'd by each family member a gift, and no it isn't because certain things are ridiculously overpriced there--it's because I'm dirt poor XP I can't even pay back mom that $30 she lent me *which would be only $10 because I only SPENT that much* if I'm planning on getting them gifts *headdesk*
-Also christmas season in general. Need to ask them about getting one of their email addresses (at Volunteering) also dad said Christmas will be scaled back this year, because Linor's coming, and while I don't mind for myself (I mean, there was some stuff I wanted to order...just a DGM Calendar...) I feel really really bad about this for my sis, because she doesn't realize what this means. *sigh* ah well...ah...w-well...*shrugs*
AND THAT, my friends, IS IT...
*goes back to working on the fics that are due* also am feeling like complete crap today *thinks it might be because of her chest hurting and thus equating her staying up till 5AM And sleeping in till 11:30AM--I NEVER Sleep in that late unless I'm sick XP
