Since I really wanted to do this one, but haven't been able to/kept missing it for some reason.
One Near Death and a Flesh Wound
Pairing: LaviYuu
Summary: Lavi likes running because he knows Kanda will follow him.
A/N: This feels more gen to me than an actual pairing drabble. Eh. Guess that's just cuz I'm not used to writing these two anymore XD; YES they are still my OTP....all things considering XD

The knife barely grazed his neck, but it was still something to worry about, after all. They had limited resources and even less time. This mission had to be flawless. Perfectly flawless.
And he was already screwing up.
Lavi darted to and from the shadows of the alleyways, crumbling walls and debris making him trip and tumble in a way that could almost be called gracefully clumsy.
Or it would be if this was some sort of romantic fantasy. Which it wasn't. So he tripped and tumbled clumsily, scrabbling at the ground as he fell face first against the cracked concrete.
He could hear the laughter above him and somehow he knew --this would be the end of him. On a warmer than usual October Night. It was just his luck, really (or lack thereof) so really he should have been expecting it.
"I didn't--" He couldn't even utter out a full sentence. That knife was at his throat, sharp against his neck, digging in to create a flesh wound-turned-deadly in a blink of an eye.
He blinked.
It only took one (one eye, the other bandaged. Haha, he would never say what that was about, would he?) but then --there he was.
"You idiot."
Lavi almost couldn't breathe. Or, well, wait, it hurt to, but at least his name wasn't that long, so he wheezed out a silent, "Yuu?"
He snorted, and that's when Lavi noticed the body at his feet. "What?" Lavi swallowed. That hurt too.
"Y'never wait, do ya?"
"If I hadn't you'd be dead. You're useless when you're dead."
Lavi cracked a smile, "Yeah, well, tha's why you're here, isn't it?" Kanda's lips pressed into a thin line, "Yuu's my hero!"
"Tch, no."
"My super sexy boyfriend?"
Kanda groaned at that, ".......Whatever."
Lavi was practically beaming now.
One more near-death experience behind him, and he was still smiling. He could live with that.
