Turning 26 years old has not been the most noticeable of transitions, nor have any major life changes occurred. Since my birthday on Friday though, I can honestly say I have been the most depressed and disheartened that I have been in years. I have been absolutely anxiety-ridden and lonely. My husband has been out of touch for several days now and

That is what I'm afraid of because I heard a lot of people say that about The Hunger Games. I'm with, I don't remember details - I have a heard time remembering the details in one book let alone a whole series. I didn't realize more books were coming out the series but most people that have told me to read have said that they liked it better than The Hunger Games. But my series I have the most trouble remembering stuff with is the Sookie Stackhouse series - way too many books and way too many little details to remember.
Really? I've always kind of figured you for a Cali girl for the rest of your life. But ya gotta do what you gotta do and the family business can't be all that bad. I do want to go to California but the state is too huge to probably do it all in one trip. I want to see San Fran, Hollywood, and San Diego part. I'm looking at going to Texas this year possibly to visit my cousins and make a State road trip out of it. I'm going to Florida in June (yuck!) for a friend's wedding.

The first book, in my opinion, was the best in the Hunger Games series. It was original and didn't have any extra fluff. I think the Maze Runner series was a little more satisfying to finish in that respect. It continually offered new ideas and had an ongoing mysterious quality, whereas the Hunger Games had one known theme that was slightly predictable to me. To be honest, I'm already becoming sketchy on the details! I read too often and new details replace the old fairly quickly.
I'm definitely not a Cali girl. I'm not even a fan of Cali and I can't wait to move from here. The weather is the only positive thing this area has going for it. The natives are rude, everything is overpriced, and nature is practically non-existent. There's the beach and the rest is a giant desert. The same applies to the LA area too, except it's dirtier up there and the people are even worse. Don't get me wrong, there are some nice places to visit, but I don't like living here. I'd still love to travel up to NorCal and see the San Fran area. I have a feeling it's a little nicer up there. Let me know how you like Texas--I've only driven through there. Good luck in Florida; I don't like that place either!
