Hard work pays off every now and then. Two of us were given 72 hours of special liberty because, according to my LPO, nothing would have gotten done without me (a newly duked Supervisor, which is rare given my rank) and one of the second classes on my shift. He also wrote us up good counseling chits, which he was glad to do since he's been writing an abundance of bad ones lately. My free time commences tomorrow after work and completes before work on Tuesday, so I'm really missing only one day. That's fine with me since I don't have much of a life outside of work and school.
Speaking of school, the new schedule has been released for the next term. I know I'm going to take Microeconomics since it's required for whatever degree I want from ERAU, but I haven't decided if I want to attempt to take another class as well. It'd be a lot of schoolwork to try to squeeze in after working five or more days a week, but I wouldn't let myself get anything less than an 'A' regardless of my schedule. But, being that the other class I'd take is Financial Accounting, that makes me even less motivated for over tasking.
I really need to start packing up my things since I'm moving on the first of the month. I've decided to buy some of those plastic bins instead of boxing everything since they're a bit more durable, and because they'll come in handy later on down the road when I move again. I just can't make myself pack though. I'm really fast at doing that, so I know that once I get going, I'll want to move the stuff to its new location right away and that's just not possible yet. I'm also not sure if I want to take the little furniture that I own with me. It won't be going into my bedroom again now that I'm planning on buying actual bedroom pieces, so I don't know where else to put it. I'd feel guilty throwing it away and I don't think it's sell-able at this point. Conundrum.
Note to self: Change the oil in the Jeep. You're almost 200 miles past due. Shame.
