Ah the smell of new car and cake...
I love the smell of things baking in the oven. I told Mike I would bake a cake today...so its in the oven now. Instead of using a regular circle or rectangle cake pan I opted for the fluted bundt pan. I thought it was pretty. I made a very nice chocolate ganach to go over it. I'm very pleased with my cake. =) I love to make pretty things out of food.
Right now I am downloading Janis Joplin's Greatest Hits. When we first got our computer Ryan came over and put over 10,000 songs on it. I never realized that he didn't have any Janis Joplin. I was a bit disapointed...my life isn't compleate without her. Plus now that we have a cd player in the car we have to have music to jam to this summer.
On to the best news of the week...we got a car Wednesday night after work. We got home and I called Drivetime. The guy came and picked us up and took us to the dealership. When we got there they showed me what I was approved for. I ended up walking out of there an hour and half later with an 04 Chevy Malibu. I love my new car! It is so choice. I am finally able to drive on the highway...AND I have AC again! Woo hoo!
We had the day off today so we could go see on of Vera's favorite jazz bands called Spyro Gyra. They are having a free concert at the Clark County Ampetheater. Mike is going to make grill some hot dogs for us to bring, and we are going to have chips and my cake. I am really excited to go and see them. I haven't seen a good jazz concert since September when we were in Detroit and we went to the jazz fest there. Anyway things are turning around for the better. I am feeling blessed...and I know much bigger and better things are awaiting us in the next few months.
