Back again, with a much better day.
Got up this morning, met Emily for breakfast. Started with the usual unhappiness, but by the end, we were having reasonably civilized conversation for the first time in ages. So, yay!
After we parted, I decided to go back down to Princess, and went to the bakery attached to Chez Piggy's (I forget the name, it was very nice). In celebration of the recent job application, and to sort of pay Ev back for our bad attempt to see Triplets of Belleville on Friday, I bought a whole whack of baked goods and left them in her room. I didn't get her anything the first time she left K-town, so I thought this also sort of made up for that.
Anyway, went back to my room, programmed and studied a bit (last computers assignment EVER, woohoo!), then went for a long jog with Yas. Today was one of the most beautiful days I've ever seen... And it was a great run.
Came back, saw Ev (who had already gone through all the food between herself, her roomate Flo, and her floor), and after being booted from her room, went for dinner. Came back, chatted with Aaron for a while (more details on that later this week... but for now, I'm keeping the plotting a surprise in case any of my friends find this in the next few days). Then my Dad called, haven't talked to him in about ten days (he just got back from Cuba). Anyway, didn't really get much of a story from him, unfortunately, just "beaches and food, food and beaches, sort of boring"... As you can probably tell, I'm a bit jealous of the vacation, even as weather is looking up here in Kingston.
I told him about my recent acceptance into the forces, told him again which courses I'm taking next year, and generally chatted. No mention of Ev yet, but it'll happen eventually... I'm just afraid. Still, Ev seems a remarkably stable girl. I'm sure that there will be plenty of time to talk to my parents. But today is not the day to say thanks for her somehow entering my daily life ;)
After that, played some soccer, and went back to my room, finally started watching Soylent Green. Cheesy sci fi, but so much fun...
Anyway, for some reason I'm quite tired at the moment, so short entry today. That, and not much to say. I plan to actually make it to 830 chem tomorrow for just about the first time this term tomorrow... so I think I'm off to bed.
Night all,
-Aaron.
