This felt like the longest week ever. I feel like I've been in school forever already and it's only the first week. Oy vey. I feel like this semester is going to be a good one. I'm taking classes that seem really interesting and that I think I will enjoy. I hope everyone else is in the same boat, although I know some are going to be insanely busy this semester (Eli). I wish everyone the best of luck.
So to change the subject completely, today the girl sitting next to me in Spanish made a little announcement saying that she just got engaged yesterday. I was really happy for her and being the nosy person that I am, asked all about it. Well, she's nineteen and her fiance is twenty. Seeing as that I am also nineteen and so far from being engaged that it is even hard to fathom, I totally put my foot in my mouth. After she told me that she was nineteen I asked her "Oh, well, are you planning a long engagement?". I asked her this because to me, the idea of getting married right now totally freaks me out. Anyway, after I asked her that question, she looked at me with a really confused look on her face and replied, "Uh, no". I felt like such an idiot. I am queen of embarrasing verbal diarrhea. Overall, I learned not to be so nosy and to not assume that everyone has the same thinking process as me and does not have the same plan for their life as I do. I also realized that looking at bridal magazines is a bad idea, it's simply unhealthy, so I'm stopping. Cold turkey.
I hope everyone has a good weekend. I have some tentative plans which include a movie, shopping, and a party with my fav-Eli. Also my thoughts and prayers are with Jessi this weekend.
