Thursday, almost noon, 9/15/16
Finally, after a little over three months, and my unemployment running out, I have an interview first thing tomorrow morning. I had to lower my hopes and stick with the call center business. Anyway, as call centers go, this one sounds like a pretty good place to work. Good employee reviews, and as a regular agent, taking calls, I'd be making about what I was making as a team leader for Convergys. And if I work my way back up to being a team leader again, I'd be making a LOT more.
So I just drove out there a little while ago, to make sure I could find the place, cuz being late for a job interview is a big faux pas. It a pretty easy drive-- just ten miles up Harris Blvd, mostly. Looks like a nice building.
On the way home, I stopped by the bank and then I stopped again to get some meds for Penny. Mom will be gone for at least overnight. Robin took her to the hospital this morning for a round of antibiotics. Not sure why Mom called Robin, instead of asking me. Maybe cuz Robin is the hospital expert. I dunno.
In a little bit, I may go over to Caren's and see what kind of work I feel like getting into. Yesterday, I put some shelves together. There are several little odd jobs she'd like me to do. I warned her I'm not in good shape these days, for tackling anything major. My legs are a little bit stiff today just from putting the shelves together. Some people like to excuse themselves by saying they're getting older. I think it's just being out of shape though. If I'd get more exercise, age would have nothing to do with it. The main thing I think about age is that it takes longer to heal from things.
Ho hum. Overall, not in a great mood today. What else is new?
