It seems that many people have been leaving recently. I suppose most of them would probably welcome the chance to return home, so I should be offering my congratulations.

But... Ah. It just makes me a little anxious. It's always a reminder of how impermanent things are here, and... I'd really like to stay, if I had the choice.

I'm not alive anymore in my own world, so I think it's nice to have this chance to get to know people and try different things.

It is. It makes it a little easier to accept some of the things that happen here, I think... though that isn't really fair to the others who are here unwillingly.

Nah, I wouldn't say it's unfair. People come from different places an' different situations, right? Can't ever speak for everyone.

Yes, I just don't want to imply that the suffering the City brings them isn't real and terrible just because I'm happy to be here.

Well, it ain't like anyone can say you don't go through all of that too. Curses still affect people whether they're 'appy or not to be 'ere.
