Would you rather lead or follow? Why? What role do you see yourself playing out over your life, leader or follower?
A complicated sort of question, really.
I think... I prefer something in between. Not head honcho... but close to the top of the food chain. For instance. When I was younger, I had the (totally undeserved, mind you) reputation as a mischief maker. Now... I admit to starting my share of the fun, but usually it was on someone elses idea, and I just ran with it. When married, Kadmos and I founded and governed Thebes - He was King, of course, but I had a say in how things went... without all the dull parts of responsibility that went with it. Now that all that's done? I really like being a Princess. or, at least, daughter of the King. I think I should tell Daddy he needs an empire... Emperial Princess sounds lovely.... But, I'm getting off track. The point is - I get the benefits of being close to the head of command, without really needing to be in control of anything... I can do what I want, when I want, and be pretty sure I'm not going to suffer repercussions. Which... makes me pretty happy.
