My heart hurts for his family. The little I saw of Steve Irwin over the years, was enough to know that he was a very passionate man about everything he did. I remember seeing the 3 of them on Oprah one day, and I can remember thinking, what a "brave" woman his wife must be, because this guy is nuts! Not, lock him up and throw away the key nuts, more like, dial it down a notch, oh my goodness - I hope you have good health insurance, wow - doesn't ANYTHING scare you, kind of nuts. I loved the segment w/ his daughter Bindi (I think she was 4 at the time), she had a thing for snakes. She was so self confident, and you could tell that her daddy, had taken great care in teaching her. I know her mother does too, but at that time, you could see a mini him.
This is another one of those "celebrity" deaths that just strikes me at the heart, for reasons unknown.I know he will be missed by people around the globe. I wish the best for his family.
