I need to get better at writing in my journal each time a thing happens; when I don't, I end up thinking "I need to write about stuff, but so many things happened it will take a while," and then I put it off forever.

Friday was the ten-year reunion. It was good, actually! It was iffy at first, no one was really talking to me until I finally ended up in a circle of people who I think probably took pity on me, and they were all talking about kids and I just stood there, noticing how they all got fat. (I, luckily, got fat then got skinny again during the ten-year interim.) Eventually Keith showed up, and I spent the rest of the night talking to him. We hung out all the time in school, since like fifth grade or something, but afterwards stupid stuff happened and let's just say it's been a while. He's married and has a baby, but his wife stayed home with the li'l one so we just sat around and talked. They asked questions and had people stand up for them - most of them were about having kids and stuff, so I got to sit there and eat uninterrupted while they were like, "How many have one kid? How many have two kids?" Katie, the girl who lived in the house behind me, has FIVE kids. FIVE. And she didn't even get pregnant in high school. They asked who married someone in their class (a few, actually - weird), and then they were like, "Who's still single?" I stood up and went, "WOOOO!"

I have to admit, I thought there would be other people standing up. I was wrong. Everyone got a good laugh at least.

ComedySportz was hilarious, as usual. I always am like, "Why do I not go there every week, it is amazing," and one of the guys was kind of hot. Keith pointed out he wasn't wearing a ring. I said yeah, but like 50% of married guys don't wear their rings. But afterwards, the ComedySportz guys were standing off by a door talking to some people, and Keith kept telling me to go catch Ivan (yes, that was his name, yeah I know) before he left. So, I knew the girl that was talking to them (she was in the color guard in marching band) and I went to say hi to her. I knew she would get all huggy and stuff. So I joined in her conversation with them a little - I think she knew someone who had worked at ComedySportz, and was seeing if they knew him. Anyway, after a little while they left, though they were still standing outside talking for a minute. I said, "Well darn, I was trying to figure out a way to get Ivan's number, but the opportunity came up." Teresa was like, "He's right there! Go ask him!" I said, no way, that's too awkward. If he's married or something that would be so embarrassing. She offered to ask for me, and I said I had no problem with that - it's a lot less embarrassing to get a no for someone else. I'd do it for someone else, too. So she went out there and asked him, but it turns out he was engaged. :( Too late for me! But hey, I tried - even if I'm alone for the rest of my life, no one can say I didn't ever try.

The next morning was the Dirty Dash! Almost my whole family did it - everyone except my mom and Lake, who were at Youth Conference. We did the 5k instead of the 10k, and took it nice and easy, hardly any running. It was sweet. I took my waterproof camera and got some great mud shots and put them on Facebook. Not our most flattering moments, but possibly among our awesomest??

On Monday, Cueball finally e-mailed me back. Yeah, he was just super busy and he was sorry he hadn't responded. He talked about his plans with his BFF in town, though he said this week she was leaving Boston to go to some job interviews nearby, and he was going to New York to go to BookExpo America. (Luckyyyyyy, one of the perks of being a grad student in publishing I GUESS.) So it was good. I waited until the next day to respond because he's not the only one who's too cool to respond right away! So I answered yesterday. It will probably be another five days before I hear from him. Which is fine, it's not like we're dating or anything, of course we will just communicate at our leisure. He did mention when he gave me his number that he wouldn't be available to talk on the phone until after his friend left, and I was like "Oh....actual phone conversations.... ._. " I was just thinking of texting, hahaha I will probably be super nervous when he actually wants to talk. Yipe!
