I finished this yesterday afternoon, while sitting around the hotel room recovering. While it's a little dated (it mostly discusses big blockbusters from the time it was written, which was about 2000), it still skewers movies I love and hate, and I really enjoyed it. These are movie reviews for a column he wrote back then, so you can kind of tell that they were originally more spaced out - he makes a few jokes multiple times, and they're too close together for a book but in a weekly column it would be fine. His reviews on chick flicks are hilarious, and I like his fairly inoffensive mockery that makes it possible to laugh your head off as he impales a movie you really enjoy. "Independence Day," for example. I love it. But I acknowledge that just about everything in its plot is totally retarded, most notably the fact that they use a laptop computer to hack into an alien spaceship and bring it down. XD
However, Megacheese did cruelly inform me that Jim Carrey was once in a vampire movie, which surprised and dismayed me, especially when I learned that the sultry female vampire bit Jim Carrey's inner thigh to quench her thirst for blood. I think Mike just put that in out of spite, so he wouldn't be alone in his suffering. I may never recover from that mental image, and now, neither will you.

Up next: I started The Revolt of "Mother" and Other Stories because it's really short, and I need my book # to catch up to my page #. I also started Chimaera's Copper yesterday, but I'm only a few pages in.
