OH YES PLEASE.
Can I even say how excited I am for this movie? I'm already spotting a LOT of differences between it and the book, which I'm sure is going to get a lot of people's panties in a bundle, but I actually like a lot of the changes. It also looks like the ending is going to be different. But equally good. I love when that happens; the book itself would probably make an almost boring movie (even WITH vampires) because of the scientific nature of it - and here, they seem to have kept the science (vampirism as a disease, an actual infection rather than some superstition) but still added a lot more excitement. Those wampirs are freaky. o_o And DOGGIE. I also find it interesting that he's trying to contact other humans, and believes there are still some out there. In the book he just assumes that there aren't. A little hope, yes plz?
I also like that it's Will Smith. Not just because I love Will Smith, but also because the book makes such a big deal about the main character being white. XD I swear I was going to go nuts if I got ONE MORE REMINDER that the guy was blonde, or blue-eyed, or otherwise Caucasian.
