OK, well, I finally know what Constantine looks like. Amy went to Boston Conservatory with him and was very excited to find out last year that he was on American Idol. She didn't watch it until she found out he was on it, and I didn't watch it at all, but I just saw him on the red-carpet thing tonight.
I don't remember which year it was, but one of Amy's friends (whom I've seen perform, and he's awesome) auditioned and was told he's too trained. Because of all the implications of Chet's experience, Amy wouldn't watch any of these "contest" shows. This year, though, she got hooked and got me hooked. As long as you watch it just for entertainment and don't really expect anything to be "fair", it's fun.
