Strange ideas of 'safe'

She was restless when she returned from her talk with Xaldin. Restless enough to send all the girls out, Dancers paired with Ninjas en masse. It'd keep them out of trouble a she worked on the Disney research.

Her office full of Disney research. For the first time all the files and folders seemed beyond the realm of handling. There was simply too ( Read more... )

Mickey was working out in the canyons with everyone else. He was moving some of the small stones and if someone had a larger one, he would use his magic to smash it and make it manageable. He was actually in the middle of carrying a nice sized stone and set it down with his back turned to where Larxene walked in. He paused and wiped his forehead (or the equivalent) with his arm. There was only a little bit of debris left but Mickey knew he had to stay there until the clean up and restoration was done.

She didn't disturb him, or his work. Just paced slowly in the shadows, taking the time to observe. King Mickey was not a Somebody to approach lightly after all...

Not with what he was capable of.

When the mouse stopped to rest, then she spoke up. "A moment..." worse came to worse? She'd run.

Mickey spins around and when he sees who it is, his muscles tense. The keyblade does not appear but he looks around at the other people. They're watching but not moving. He nods, "Although if you're here to get in your own verbal hits like your fellow Nobodies did, I'd ask you to leave now."

She let her pacing take her towards the edge of the 'crowd', gaze traveling over the observers before she turned back. Lack of keyblade was a good sign. "No, that's not the purpose of seeking you out." she admitted easily.

"Though I'm sure they had a great deal to say." a great deal as rumor, and reports, went. "Could we have privacy? I promise not to bite..."

Mickey looks to the people watching and just nods to them. He says, "Alright then." He motions for Larxene to follow him into a nearby building. It's somewhat like the Restoration HQ. He motions to the table in the center of the room and then hops up onto the chair at one side.

Larxene refrained from sitting, but she did pace along the opposite side of the table from Mickey. She just didn't do still very well. "Tell me, your Majesty, after the distraction of the Nobodies, have you returned your attentions to eradicating the Heartless?"

"We've been looking for ways. I've been trying to do some research here while helping to clean up but I must admit. I've never been one for study. Ansem was the one with the knowledge on the matters of heart. Compared to him I am only a student."

Mickey looked at Larxene.

"No one will hurt you here. Not on my watch. You have my word."

"Luckily, the original six of Organization XIII are ones for study." she offered a small smile in his direction. "And have expressed an interest in repairing the mistakes of the past after the receive their hearts."

At his comment on safety though, she blinked and tried to understand why he felt the need t state it. "Ah. My element is one of motion, your Majesty. I do not sit still well."

"I understand then. So they've gotten their hearts back? Please believe me when I say that I am happy. I would much rather have you all at my side then to have to fight again. I mean, contrary to popular belief, it was not an easy decision to make."

The looks in his eyes is indeed sad but there is also a sense of conviction behind his statement. There is no regret.

"Some few of them" she shrugged. She didn't care, as much as she could, for the plague of enheartenings. "I have come to...negotiate, if you would." she stated calmly.

"We can ill afford even the possibility of another battle with you; it would distract from the purpose of my superiors, and put them in unnecessary danger." she'd been in charge of researching the resources of the Mouse. She knew. "But given the history on either side, I doubt given words will be lent much credence. A contract would be far better."

"And what do you propose be in said contract?"

The mouse king states this firmly and simply. His eyes become intense.

"Terms of a general cease fire, on both sides." she began easily, that smile firmly in place now. "The rights of either party to call upon the other in times of Heartless related emergency. The rights, on your part, to act as moral guide to those who still retain their Nobody status, provided the Superiors do not offer such guidance. The rights, on our part, call upon you when presence of a keyblade is necessary, especially for sealing newly connected worlds..."

It...could be a very long contract. She'd been thinking on it for some time now.

"I take it you have this written down already?"

He's in royalty and diplomat mode.

"I would also like to note that if any resources are needed to rebuild any homeworlds, I will be more than happy to provide. This is regardless of the status of the inhabitants of this world."

He was of course referring to the Nobodies' headquarters.

"I have a list written." she admitted "I have not worded the contract as of yet given we are likely to find some ideas we disagree on, and some that should be added." she shrugged and pulled a notepad from her pocket.

"We, also, have immense access to supplies, but an exchange of such may be in order when we achieve all the enheartening goals. Doctors for one." she mused.

"Absolutely, from this point forward, you will no longer be treated as criminals. You will no longer be enemies of the worlds under my dominion. I will treat you as friends, no longer enemies. This also extends to those who currently do not have hearts, but hope to gain them in the future. As long as no one comes under harm, you may roam freely. It may take a while to convince the citizens, but it is doable."

"Not from this point forward, your majesty." she held up a hand in caution. "From the moment all contracts are signed, by you and my superiors. I am here...without their knowledge." she admitted.

"Given a chance at safety, they will take it I believe I preferred to risk only one to your possible ire."
