I like Scarlet magazine.
I like that there is a magazine that embraces female sexuality in all it's shapes
I like that you get funny looks if you read on any form of public transport.
I like that they have articles about feminism next to articles about a people with balloon fetishes.

I am shocked, disappointed and insulted that they would print an article about an 'ethical' brothel.
It's 'ethical' because it's like a "five star hotel" and it's really safe.

How can a magazine that promotes the idea of women being in control of their own sexuality possible think there can ever be an 'ethical' brothel. There is so much wrong with that I don't even know where to start. It even features a line from one of the girls that works there about how selling her self is the best way for her to make money. It actually makes me want to cry, because it's just so tragic, that there are girls out there that feel that way, and that a magazine that last month printed an article about how great feminism is would print and therefore promote that idea!

I'm working on a 'strongly worded letter to the editor' about this, possibly from the previously mentioned Fawcett Society (I'm taking the article along on Tuesday, and I'm sure we'll all have a good rage).
