1. The Jesus and Mary Chain are playing 2 shows on the 11th and 12th March at the Roundhouse. This interests me.
2. Today I went to the Sheffield University Fawcett Society group meeting. I met lots of lovely feminists and we talked about feminist stuff and I feel good. Looks like I found a way into being more active as I've been promising myself I would be for sometime.
I brought up the issue of Ladyfest, as I think the nearest one is in Leads and Sheffield should clearly have one.
We also talked a lot about having a 'feminist T-shirt making party'. Because we all want cool T shirts that say things like "Steel City Feminists".
3. I went to see the previously unknown Dual Honors Politics tutor. She was nice but pretty useless. Still peddling the "we don't let anyone switch" line. But she pointed me towards the undergraduate coordinator who I'm going to see on Thursdays, as if any one will have a solution it'll be her. I'm now clinging to that hope that because I've completed over half the modules need to get a politics degree they'll help me, because I'm not just a 1st year who's done a couple of weeks work and decided I want the east option!
