Big News!
Well, to me anyway. Colin was accepted to preschool in California! We already knew he was going to be taken care of in the morning. He is assigned to a class for preschoolers with special needs (for his autism). But for the afternoon we just found out he is going to be in an inclusive class with kids who are not special needs. We are thrilled!! The bad part though is we don't know how much it will cost. The special needs class is completely covered by the state of California (thanks, Cali!), but the preschool in the afternoon is quite expensive. We signed up for financial assistance, but we haven't heard how much we will get. Eric and I are planning to take out yet another loan if we have to because we know this would be so great for Colin. And I have to admit, I'm pretty relieved for my sake. Taking care of a newborn baby and a 4 year old autistic kid by myself was worrying me quite a bit (as some of you know). Eric probably won't get home from law school until late (we both don't think he'll get much studying done with Colin running around much less a newborn), so it will just be me for most of the day and probably evening. We'll see though. Anyway, I so happy. I just wanted to share my news! We move on Friday. Think of us!!! It will be a very long flight with a newborn, Colin, and two cats....sigh.
