Good week.

This is going to be brief because these days I don't have the patience for journaling. I get the feeling I may regret that someday in the future, however. So here's the breakdown of a few fantastic days.

Monday.
Collaboration class; trainride to midtown with Pisa; Roy Harris' class in midtown; picked up Thai food; braved the freezing rain and walked to The Colbert Report studio; met Dave there; got into the VIP line (by the way, Dave acquired those VIP tickets through Neil Gaiman... long story, but super awesome nonetheless); waited in the cold; saw the Report (which was amazingly fun -- Dave asked Stephen a question before the show, which was, "If the studio were burning down, what one item would you save off your walls?" to which he responded the picture of his Dad, and proceeded to show the audience the picture and discuss his bad genetics); went to the Village to Julia's bar; drank; drank more at Asian; came home and chilled with the roomie.

Tuesday. Birthday! 23.
Visiting directors class with guest Young Jean Lee; Pisa and I went to the West Village to 'sNice, which is a favorite vegetarian restaurant of mine; we got a delicious lunch and saw Paul Rudd entering the restaurant as we were on our way out, whereupon we doubled back in and Pisa bought me a cupcake while I took the excuse to stare shamelessly; met up with Julia; went shopping in SoHo; moved our clothing shopping adventures to 14th; went to Asian for Lycheetinis and met up with another friend; went to Vegetarian's Paradise 2 for an incredible dinner ("chicken" lo mein and wine, yesss); taxicab to 16th between 9th and 10th, the Highline Ballroom; jumped into the standby line for tickets; got standby tickets; saw The motherfucking Roots play until like 1:30 in the morning and got very drunk; I went back to Brooklyn with a friend in a cab, over the Williamsburg bridge (I like the view).

Wednesday.
Slept off hangover with friend. Friend took the day off work. I took the day off class. Spent all day in bed, or chatting, playing video games, eating Chinese food and so forth. Finally left at 4:45 in order to make it back to the Upper West Side for the show I'm assistant stage managing -- Columbia University's New Voices New Plays Festival.

And that's all I feel like writing about. I'm about to hit up the comic book store to pick up an issue a friend of mine wrote (at long last), among many other things with sweet, sweet birthday money. I've got another show tonight, and afterwards I think I'm off to Brooklyn to spend some time with my buddy Dave and possibly catch the tail end of a comedy show my friend Daisy is producing. We'll see.

Life is good. I've got a handle on me, on my social life, and on my production assignments -- school, not so much really, but mercifully it's almost over. Pretty burnt out on paper writing and reading.
