Mmm.. rain
Hmm... I think it is time to update... don't you?
There has been simply so much rain lately. It's downright nutty.
I'm interning at the Walters Art Museum here in Baltimore over the summer. It's definitely rad and I'm learning a lot about Curatorial work and I'm loving being surrounded by massive quantities of books... about ART. :)
I'm working for this guy right now... I do filing for him and hang out with his cats... It's pretty sweet. They are simply adorable and one looks like it could eat me if it really wanted to. Coincidentally, it is the cutest one.
I've also been reading a novel entitled The Historian. I am finding myself more engrossed by it day by day. I think one of the things that I love most about the book is that the author does not dumb down the process of schoalarly research or the research itself for the reader. In order to follow the book, you must possess a certain level of interest in education and advanced learning. It is NOT your run-of-the-mill vampire=sex/romance fiction piece of crap. I am considerably impressed. Usually, I find myself most attentive when I'm reading a classic such as Pride and Prejudice... but it's nice to finally find a piece of modern literature that I can really sink my fangs into. ;)
On yet another semi-related topic, if anyone has any fruity/girly drink mix ideas for brandy or gin please let me know. I have an abundance of both and I'm not entirely sure what to do with all this liquor. hehe.
