birddi at Harlequin Kradam for Round 3. #52. Kris is looking for a job, and finds one as a keyboardist on a tour with a group of three singers/drag queens. He finds himself helping out the 'girls' (who are a foot taller than him, and more muscled, and stronger to boot!) by carrying their bags, finding their costumes, getting the gas, etc. The 'girls' love their little southern sidekick . . . although, they aren't too sure if Kris knows they're not female (he keeps opening doors!). Title is the Natalie Cole song from the Pretty Woman soundtrack. Lyrics to the song “I Was Played” belong to Kris Allen from his Brand New Shoes album.
Summary: Kris doesn’t know why he was selected to play keyboards and guitar for the glamorous girl group “Wild Women Do” but he’s glad to be there…especially since he’s developed a huge crush on the lead singer, Miss Dusty Madrid, and on her twin brother, Adam.
