i need someone to make decisions for me. I can't even commit to buying a dress over the internet because the measurements listed are taken across the garment while laying flat... bust, waist, hip... at least toss me an underbust ( Read more... )

NO. Oh Bunny. Your saying that makes me feel afraid for you. You do not need someone to make decisions for you. That right there is a great way to be manipulated. It'll ruin your life if you choose the wrong person, and even if you choose a mediocre-to-good person, you'll waste lots of time running around doing things you don't really want to, or that aren't really for you. (Which is kind of what codependency is.)

What you do need (and what I have certainly needed at various points in my life), is for someone to help you learn how to make decisions, and understanding what your personal desires, needs and standards are, so that you can come up with a decision-making process.

There are professionals who can help you learn to do this. Cognitive-behavioral therapy can be helpful in figuring out what guides your decisions, or indecision. (It's different from just seeing a shrink, it's a lot more collaborative and focused on whatever you want/need to work on.) And, once you understand what your goals are, someone like a life coach can help you work through the many small steps and decisions that lead towards those goals.

Please think about those options, both of them have helped/are helping me!
