Poor Maddie Riley.
The past two weeks or so she's been itching her scalp. We assumed this was some dry scalp thing. She's been scratching her forehead bad enough for the past week that there's a rash like pimples that she scratched open. So she got some moisturizer. It seemed to be helping. Well, this week, the little pimple rash thing has been spreading across her cheeks. Not bad, just enough that if you pull her hair back and look, she looks like she's got acne, which she's never had.
Today, the poor kid started running a fever. I don't know if anyone remembers but a couple months ago she had a seizure due to a fever and was in the hospital, so we tend to freak out about fevers now. Plus, the rash is now all over her face, which is all red with the pimple things, and there's some more rash all over the rest of her body. It's not the same rash, but like.. red goosebumps. So to the doctor!
The child has the beginning of an ear infection (of which she was showing no symptoms at all and was pure luck that we caught early). The forehead thing is probably eczema and the rest of the rash is probably a viral symptom, all of which are completely unrelated. So Jason is out getting her antibiotics and some hydrocortizone lotion the doctor recommended. Poor baby girl.
As for me, the Terb is messing with me today. The shakes are really bad. My pulse was incredibly high about noon (my 2 hour mark). It sucks. I really don't want Jak Jak early but I can't take this much longer, it seriously messes with me. I can't think straight. I feel like I can't focus. I have to keep my body moving, like fidgeting. It makes me light headed. It sucks, it really sucks. I see my doctor on Monday and I just hope I can stop taking the Terbutaline. I'm 34 weeks and she said maybe I could come off it at this point. Hopefully Jak Jak can stay put without the meds..
