So, there was nothing they could do. There was mention of a surgery, but with his age and condition it was said that if he did make it through that, the recovery could have just as painful. He's had problems with bladder crystals all his life. Basically a bladder crystals form and block male cats from being able to urinate. Some cats have a problem one or two times and can be cleared up. Mr. Tipps had been blocked three times in less than a week and they said it was likely it would just keep happening. We took him to the vet Monday and got him home Thursday and he seemed a little better. But Friday night and yesterday he started acting like it hurt again and basically didn't really urinate for two days. The technician at the emergency vet's office basically told us that if we didn't do something, he probably would have died today or tomorrow. It was better to let him go like this than make him suffer.

He was a very sweet boy. Very sweet, but not always really bright, which could make for some very humorous situations. We always joked about him being like Kelso from That 70's Show, he was "man pretty".

I miss him so much already. I'm angry and sad and confused right now, but deep down I think thsi was right. He was such a sweet animal, I couldn't have handled knowing he was suffering anymore.
