So I need to make a baby registry.

It occurs to me, that I have no idea what goes in a registry, and that I'd better sort through all the stuff I've been receiving so far to have an idea of what to put on it.

Things I know I DO have:
Crib
Carseat
Breast Pump ( I hate those two words together though I'm grateful for the device.)
some cloth diaper covers

A friend went with me to Babies R Us to help me with my registry. If you'd like, I'd be happy to go with you to give you my perspective.

Diaper roll- the diaper bag will probably come with a pad, but Clare H had recommended something like this
http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3238648
Changing pad with at least two covers; you may want a changing table
Diaper pail (even for cloth diapers you're going to need to put them some place)
Extra pack of Soothies - just in case your baby likes pacifiers
Vitamin A&D ointment for diaper rash
Extra base for carseat
Sheets and waterproof pad for pack n play
couple of sheet savers
Bottle and nipple brushes (usually come in a combo pack)
Waterproof cover for mattress
Stroller should be one you can easily get in and out of your trunk. While he/she is in a carseat, a stroller frame is
great - lightweight with a big basket http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2266236 as an example. We got
ours used at Once Upon a Child (slightly more expensive than the major consignment sales, but cheaper than retail).
Otherwise, make sure you're both comfortable pushing it (we had one that was too short for either of us). Adjustable
handles are good. Since you'll need one for SCA events, big tires for getting over uneven ground is good.

I like diaper bags that have a cooler insert; alternatively, you can use an insulated lunch bag with cooler ice packs; we also use the silver wine coolers on milk bottles for around town trips (never leave the house without a bottle!). Choose one you REALLY like- you'll be using it a LOT!

You'll probably have people giving/making blankets for you, but you'll probably also want some receiving blankets. My favorites were the extra big ones from Target (where you can also do a baby registry); they were great for swaddling
Depending on your color scheme I have a green check crib dust ruffle if it would work for you.

I think we still have a car mirror and a travel high chair you can have. Jeff says we have monitors.
