Direct Hit (Action card)
The card should have the following text added: “Play: Immediately after the ship has been damaged in a Space Battle in which you participate.”
Didn't come up in the game we played, but the requirement for Space Battles means that PDS fire can't trigger a Direct Hit. Confusingly, "pre-combat" effects that occur after

I guess I didn't run into that problem when I was losing guys to carp in the first 5 minutes.

i think i may have been making that error in some turns and not in others

but i think there were plenty of other errors in game play made
