Ugh. I am sick. I hate being sick. It would be ok if I could stay home and be sick in my own bed/house, but no. I have to come to WORK. Sigh. Don't think much is going to get done today. I thank my lucky stars that I don't have a massive bank deposit today. Whew. I don't think I could get my head around too many numbers today. Ew.
Had a fun and busy weekend. Saturday my niece had her first communion, and some good friends had a housewarming party. The hostess went insane cooking for this thing. It was crazy! Turkey, corned beef with the trimmings, shrimp, potatoes and gravy, meat and cheese, and about a million other things that I can't remember! Good grief. She put me to shame!!! :-) It was all just divine too! Thank God I had eaten with my family after church, or I would have gained 10 pounds just from the food there!!!
Sunday was a Gem show at the convention center downtown. Lots of good stuff, but I restrained myself and didn't buy everything I wanted. Even walked away a couple of times from stuff they wouldn't deal on. Ah well. I got some great new beads that I must do something "bridal" with. The best part of the whole deal though, was I ran in to two people that I haven't seen in I bet at least five years. What a treat that was. Just dumb luck too. One I saw at a booth, and the other one I ran in to when I was going out to hit the ATM. Unbelievable. What a riot! Just made my whole year!!!
Jason and I started out Sunday by going with Milo to "Pose Your Pet With Santa" that the Humane Society puts on every year. I'm hoping that we got some good shots. We did a few with all three of us, some with just the boys, some with Milo and me, and then a couple of Milo alone. It was pretty fun. Milo gets so wound up that by the time we get home he just collapses. He looked good though, and he behaved. I can't wait to see the pictures. I never use the "holiday" background, too cheesy for me. And I think Santa would scare Milo half to death! Yikes!
