I Was Lost But Now I’m Found: In Which Part Two Of A Battle Is Fought

In the continuing adventures of Wreade….

There I was lost in the darkness, all alone, except for myself. Fortunately I am good company. As are the worms, and maggots. Bones.

There were noises in the distance and I set off to find my companions, when a door opened across from me and one of our foes stepped out. I was in no position to take on this chaos cursed warrior and tried to hide, but he spotted me. Suddenly I was being dragged by tentacles to stand before him. He swung his mace and my blood flew through the air.

I retreated and lashed him with my bolt of power, setting up an arc of lightening between us. He writhed in pain. A secret door opened and the other foe stepped out. I thought it was over then, but the new enemy ignored me and yelled at the warrior before stalking off through a door. My good fortune continued as I was able to lash him with energy before he could hit me again. And so the foe died.

I hurried after the other enemy, hoping he would guide me to my companions. Following him I found myself in a room with cages. The maelstrom of battle swirled around my companions who had just escaped from cages and as more enemies appeared. I blasted the foes with fire and lightening.

In the end we prevailed, gathering rumours from some other prisoners before they died. A rest we needed though. A rest. As blood and bones call…

Me: I was lucky to crit on my first to hit role with Witch Bolt, and then to roll nearly perfect damage. 38 from a possible 39! And that the chaos warrior hadn’t been healed. Otherwise I was toast! It was a good battle though, with the no rest and being separated at the beginning…
