I came late to this seemingly boundless prison, so it may be that I see things more clearly. Or I thrash clueless in the dark, pointlessly slaying beast upon beast, undead upon undead.
On this hour we entered a hall of bones, where a seeming master of the undead dwelt. Between him and us strode three bone behemoths, vast giants held together by unholy forces. Floating by his sides danced two skulls with flames dripping from their sockets.
Let battle commence, and by the holy light of Bahamut did we strike the unholy down. I filled the hall with radiant light blasting the accursed and protecting my comrades. Even so the battle was close and our healer was pressed to give aid.
In the end though the battle whimpered to a conclusion as the foe sort to inflict damage on Enna and my protection struck him down.
As the dust settled we found a key, the third we had found on these incarnations of the imprisoned monster. And so I doubt. Who is the prisoner, who is the guard? I think we have been slowly destroying the guards who keep Thrullzon enchained; that our mission, by delusion and subterfuge, is to free this evil revenant from his chains so he can lay waste to the world.
But what choice have we? Vondal seeks to free his possessed friend, and the only way out of this hell is forward. I just pray that in the final battle, which I feel is coming sooner than later, we will have the strength to defeat this evil monster and cast him out from the world. Permanently.
