me: (looking at telegrams) "Very cool."
Kyle: "Yeah, it's kind of an organized mess."
me: "I don't think I've ever seen an actual telegram, you know, outside of a movie. Or a Tom and Jerry cartoon."
Kyle: (laugh) "Some of them are oddly personal. Others are just business."
me: (reads some more) "It's kind of like a tweet. No punctuation and all run together."
Kyle: "Yeah, that's true."
me: "Let me know if you spot 'LOL' in one of these. We'll have evidence of a time traveller on our hands."
Kyle: "We'll have to document it."
Jeff: "It's like we've come full circle."
me: "Yeah, kinda sad. Hey, did you know that you can actually speak into a phone, and someone far away can hear what you're saying? It's amazing."
Which reminds me, I keep meaning to change the text tones on my phone to telegraph sounds.
