Woke up. Had breakfast.
Then I watched Leverage before my lecture.
OMG, SHOW. How I love you, show! And Parker! I adore this girl to tiny, tiny bits. And Parker/Hardison? Yeah, I totally ship them in their absolute cuteness and bffery and general gleeness. Not to mention the Teamy Goodness this show gives me. It's been a LONG time since a show has fed me my Teamy Goodness. These characters like each other, they have fun together even when they're not conning someone. *hearts*
SG-1 was the last teamy show I really loved, and while I love Merlin, the show needs to up the team stuff because it's fantastic when they do. There's a reason that Moment of Truth and Beginning of The End are my favourite episodes.
Went to my lecture. Dude, I kinda love my art lectures, they always mention something I later want to post about here to share with the flist. Sometimes it's small, sometimes it's big, normally having to do with art in way, but mostly about society and it's relation to art. I never end up doing it because after my lecture I end up going to the studio for hours and by the time I get home I've forgotten or end up doing other shit, but the thought, it happens.
After my lecture I only went to the studio for a little while, worked on a painting, then headed to lunch (Mexican) with my brother before we went to see Watchmen.
Okay, Watchmen. TBH I have some mixed feeling, because it's not a bad film, it's pretty good in all honesty-- filming style, story telling, plot --, and omg it's SO PRETTY (THE IMAGERY! I was on cinematic overload here!), but it's not a nice film. It's messy, and gory, and dark. Thematically dark, but dark. All the characters are flawed and there's not real line between Good/Bad. There were the Bad Guys, but as you watch the film you realise that the Good Guys aren't that good either.
The flashbacks were long, but considering how closely it followed the graphic novel then, yeah, I get it. Still, in some ways half the film is flashbacks. Important to the plot, yes, and to the characters background and developments, but still kinda long.
It's a messy film, but a pretty one. AND LONG. LORD, it was long.
Then we came home. He's catching up on SCC, I'm watching X-Files and it's looking like Beef Stroganoff for dinner. I think.
oh, wait, I have about three more eps of Leverage until I'm caught up. *G*
eta: Caught up. SHOW, when do you come back? You do *not* end there! The site says "returning this summer", um, I'm sorry, could you vague it up even more? *pout*
