Zorro is to California as Batman is to Gotham, inorite?

I love Zorro. I mean, I *love* Zorro, I grew up with the early films and Disney series and omg, it was awesome. Zorro was awesome; the bumbling Spanish-Californian nobleman who is a master swordsman that dresses all in black to secretly avenge the helpless, aid the oppressed and punishes the cruel. It's like Batman *before* Batman. I don't know why this made me randomly amused this morning, but it did.

Random fact after some google-fu: The Mask of Zorro, the 1920 film, inspired Bob Kane who created Batman in 1939. Naize!
