Nepean Nintendogs

About a month or so ago I preordered Nintendogs for Clarice and I at our local EBGames. I originally thought it was going to come out on Monday, but received no phone call telling me so. After work on Tuesday I checked my voicemail and got a message from them. I went over and picked up Nintendogs Dachshund and Friends (for me) and Nintendogs Lab and Friends (for Clarice).

I went back to the apartment afterwards and tried it out and it's a pretty addictive game. It's not one of those "beat the boss" or "get t3h hi-score" kinda games, more like Animal Crossing where you just "play". I of course picked a female Shih-Tzu and named her Roxie for sentimental reasons. Clarice has a Welsh Corgie named Yuki who closely resembles Ein from Cowboy Bebop.

Anyways, Roxie has learned 4 tricks: sit, lie down, sneeze, and roll over. My current favorite is "sneeze" where she lies down and just sneezes. It's really funny and reminds me of how Roxie would sneeze when she wanted to play. She's currently learning "spin" and "jump", but I haven't had the patience to teach her the tricks even though she's really close to learning them.

I take Nintendogs-Roxie for regular walks and we sometimes go to the park. I've just discovered her knack for catching a frisbee, and entered her in the disc competition. She got 3rd place! The trophy was huge and the cutscene showed her grabbing the trophy and chomping on it. I also won $30 ingame so I can buy more pet food and supplies!

Real-Roxie is currently having back problems again, and it makes me sad that she's in pain again. Andrew says she can move around some more, but I wish I knew why her back feels awful sometimes. I want her to still be around when I get back from Ottawa. I really hope she makes it :\

Wow, this is a decently sized post. Let's do another one!
