Comment Ficathon: Women Love Fest
In conjunction with the week-long womenlovefest, I thought it might be fun to post some prompts and see if anyone gets inspired. This is our place, so I'm not reserving this for the three women who have posts up there, I'm opening it up to any woman from maidenjedi's 2008 character list, plus any female character from IWTB.
Diana Fowley is getting some love over at womenlovefest, and so is Monica Reyes, but Marita Covurrubias only has a banner up so far. You can post links to old work there, too; in fact, I wish you would. There are over two hundred other fandoms and characters to play with, too, so you should check it out even if you've moved on to House or Dr. Who or Star Trek.
To keep things organized, please post just one prompt per comment. The rules and format I've borrowed, with some modifications from anythingbutgrey.
How do I prompt?
Prompts should contain the following format:
Characters/Ship (pairing is entirely optional--you can specify gen) - Timeline (also optional) - Prompt (which may be a word, a song lyric, quote, etc., but is not optional)
In other words, you can leave a character(s) and/or a ship, and/or a timeline, and a prompt.
How do I respond?
There are no restrictions in terms of word count, format, tense, point of view, etc. Please title all of your response fics as such in the comment title box:
Title - Character/Ship - Timeline
Presumably, your fics will contain these three things even if they weren't in the prompt. If they don't have a timeline, just leave it out. You can fill prompts that have already been filled. If something speaks to you, as it were, it doesn't matter if there's already fic for it. You can write your own.
Please publicize this ficathon in any appropriate community or you personal journal. A better banner would be nice, too, if someone wants to make one.
