A new fanfiction plan for 2005
Well, my initial plan to start this LJ account was to use it as a platform to write fanfictions of other genres other than Slam Dunk. When my interest in BL/Yaoi started one and a half years ago, I had mainly focused on Slam Dunk (Main CP: Sakuragi Hanamichi x Rukawa Kaede). In fact, I have only managed to write fanfictions based on these two characters and mainly in Chinese.
As I developed more interests in other manga/anime, I felt an urge to start writing on other CPs. I suppose this would help me break away from the stereotypical world of SD fandom, and explore alternative CPs and their chemistry.
So, one night I was surfing this forum and realised they have an on-going '50 themes' event...
It is a Chinese forum called 煌星揽月, where people there have varying interests in CPs relating to KOF, HP, RO, FMA etc... I go there to feast on Kyo x Iori fics, heh!
So recently they started an event on '50 themes', where anyone interested can submit a short fic or comic drawing based on a theme. The catch is: you have to do all 50 themes, gasp! It's no easy feat, I tell ya! For me, there's no way I would be able to complete this huge challenge, simply because I am not interested in the other CPs listed in the forum other than Kyo x Iori. So I really can't do 50 short fics solely on these 2 guys, sighz!
After some thought, I decided to be a little thief and steal those 50 themes for my own use, heheh! My idea is to write a one-shot fic (can be in English/Chinese) based on each theme, for those CPs which I am currently interested in. And of course, no deadline for this challenge! :P Hopefully, this initiative would motivate me to stretch my writing skills and expand my fanfic platform, and I promise to write more in English from now on.:)
