Where is reality? Can you show it to me?

I started online classes. I like them. It's a helluva lot different than on campus though. I have to be sooo self-motivated. obviously. But so far it's going pretty well. I'm not sure exactly where I want to go with the degree (information studies/tech) but maybe I'll end up doing something with philosophy as well. My favorite class so far ( Read more... )

I don't learn as much online. I do what I *need* to do to pass the tests/whatever, and then I totally lose the information. Eh.

I loved my Philosophy class... but really, what can do you with that kind of degree? Other than teach?

Are we replacing our humanity with technology?

To an extent, I think we are.

I thought it would be like that for me, too. One of my professors though only gives A's if we go "above and beyond" expectations. Meaning we have to get extra credit to get an A.

I think philosophy is just a great way to learn critical thinking skills. My philosophy professor before showed us that a lot of phi majors test really high on graduate tests. You can't really pick a career path just based off of it (besides professor) but I think if I minor in it it will show my ability to think.

I did have a friends only post, but I deleted it. Hah. Yeah it was a bit too revealing. I'll hopefully get around to pictures :)

That's true! That's why I loved the subject. It made me think :)

As for that post ~ I was so happy to see it. I felt like I actually got to know you better. You don't really reveal much of yourself on here. If I didn't comment on it, I meant to, and I'm sorry I didn't.

It was more or less because the other person I wrote about didn't want their personal business on the internet (friends protected or not). But I'm considering to make my journal friends only, which will mean more personal stuff. I know I'm pretty vague in most my entries.

You should make it friends only, for sure.
