Let's see. Nothing too good has been going on lately. Just the usual grind of school, work, practice. I am sooooooo excited about the HW camp weekend and banquet! Looking forward to seeing the Mikanator! :) Now I just need to focus on practicing hardcore for a couple of weeks... Wow. That's sad, I just wrote the word "core" and I wanted to correct myself because I couldn't quite figure out what was wrong. Dork!
Got my Kool-Aid purse, making tons of them as well. Now that I have something that is a little more substantial than a picture, I have been cranking them out.
Also looking forward to it getting cold! Brrrrrrr, 60 degrees! Cold snap this weekend, what what!
Seela came home last weekend. What a blast! I was so happy to see her!!! She'll be home again for Thanksgiving and I am also very excited about that! I got to meet Rafi- mmmm, Boricua. Lots of interesting stuff happened, especially on our date. Miss you hunny, can't wait until you are back! :-*
Okay so... That's all I can think of. My little brother's band made it to states, I am so happy for him! We made it to states my freshman and sophomore year, but didn't go both years. :( Then there was my junior year. Yeah. Let's not talk about that. But when we had Mr. A, it was just assumed that we were awesome enough to make it to states, and we did. I just wish we had gone. I am going up on that day, no matter what even if I have to get people to work for me! I'm working for Keshia this Saturday and missing his competition at Santaluces (and also missing seeing a bunch of people, which is kind of cool with me, but there are a few who I'd like to see) Whatever though. It's all good because when I go up on November 13, I'll be at the school where the camp is being held (University HS) so I'll get to scout it out a little. I kind of wish we were staying at the school, but the banquet is Saturday night and Wanda offered to share her hotel room with me so that's all good. It just means actually having to get up and drive and junk. Grr. That's why I like staying at the rehearsal site... It's all good with me to sleep on the floor, because I'm so tired that I pass out anyway. Plus I can sleep a little later. I am so lazy!! Oh. Eric was telling me today that everyone in the band wants to join Magic... I almost peed in my pants. Other Eric, the old drum captain who was like G-d himself on the tenors, got rocked right out of his shorts. All of these little band kids are like "Ooh, drum corps!" Whatever. They can go ahead and waste their time and money, it's all good with me.
At work we have the cutest stuff out now! I want these PJ pants that have polar bears all over them... They're freaking adorable. I can't get them on super mad sale though because I can't wear them to work, because obviously they are pajama pants!
I don't know what to wear to the banquet... It's "business casual" so I interpret that as semi-semi formal. I think I'm going to wear a black top and Sam's black skirt (that is actually mine because I traded her my black dress) and probably flip flops. I know that flip flops aren't necessarily business casual, but they're what I wear. Besides, it's just HeatWave people. Some of them have seen me nekkid, so I doubt that flip flops will be an issue.
Wow, this has been a very "drum corps" themed entry. I'm just in that mode...
I'm off to work, then maybe if anything super interesting happens, more later.

Edit: Apparently, we lost the rehearsal site for the camp. Some church group got it due to "overbooking". Rawr... Oh well. I guess we'll see what happens!
