review post *mostly ranting* merlin 2x13

So, I just watched the season finale (I was waiting for subtitles in portuguese because I'm too lazy and because I wanted to delay it. Lame, I know)and OMG wasn't this episode amazing? I mean, yeah, the plot is kinda obvious but the acting... oh the acting. Well, let's get to the point

COLIN MORGAN NAILED IT. He totally did, he owned the episode. Everytime he cried, my heart broke a little. That boy has so much talent! I really hope he will build a great career for himself. Loved all the Merlin/Gaius interaction. Gaius was kinda being a pain in the ass lately, so it's good to see him showing some UNCONDITIONAL support for a change. And Arthur... oh, Arthur is so full of himself that he can't see the obvious but Bradley makes it impossible for me to be mad at him. I still don't buy the whole Arthur/Gwen (and I swear it's not because I'm a crazy Arthur/Merlin shipper lol) but it's getting better. I just hope they won't drag it out for too long with the 'oh, but it's impossible' thing cause if they do, it will get boring. At the same time I think it's awesome we will have evil Morgana, I'm kinda upset because I loved the Merlin/Morgana interaction this season. I've always thought they would be awesome together and then... bang, Morgana is already going to the dark side. I hope they make Morgana tempt Merlin to go to her side in the next season... and make him doubt about being in Camelot a little just because I'd love to see them together again and I'm totally not ready to see them REALLY fighting each other. Merlin, of all people, has to understand how she feels about Uther.
Well, back to talking about the last episode... Are they getting rid of the dragon for the next season? I can't see the dragon acting like Merlin's pet, so I don't know. The whole Merlin/Balinor thing was cute. Merlin was so desperate for his father affection. And we had some pretty good Arthur/Merlin moments ('if you weren't a prince, I'd tell you to mind your own business' <3). Overall, it was a good episode but mostly because of the acting. I don't know, I felt bad about Balinor's death. I mean, Merlin suffers too much. Let the poor boy be happy for at least one episode. And Arthur not noticing anything... it's getting a bit ridiculous. Take him out of the scene, I don't know, but don't make him look like SUCH a fool.
And now I can't wait for season 3 already! Ugh, september is really, really far away :(
