HT100 Challenge 332 - Snake - Some Men - Diane Wittlesey & Scott Ross - Pre-Series
There were just some men. Some men who were so much like a snake it was amazing that their bellies didn't touch the ground. Scott Ross was one of those men. She had a hard time believing that Rick didn't see it. Ross sidled up to her one night next to the fire, got as close as he could without touching her. She could feel the warmth of his body through her jacket.
“I saw you watching me. What were you thinking about?”
“Snakes.”
“The one in my pants or were you wondering what I could do with this?” He flickered his tongue at her.
She inwardly cringed, but didn't let it show, knowing that it would please him to get a reaction out of her. “Actually, I was thinking the best way to kill one would be to lop off its head.”
He raised an eyebrow and gave her a small smile before getting up and walking away, letting her know she won this round.
She'd take advantage of the momentary peace because it wouldn't be long before he'd come slithering around again.
