Tricia puts the newspaper down. It says Kareem Said was killed by someone named Idzik. She doesn’t know how this makes her feel yet. What they had was impossible to begin with, two worlds colliding head on. But there was real love there. She always regretted not being able to follow her heart. She rubs her belly where a new life has begun. Her husband will be home soon. She closes the door to her sad past and looks at her future. There is emptiness in her now. She will dry her tears before her husband comes home. She says a prayer for Said. She knows he will go with Allah now.
