Parents, wives, children, brothers, and sisters. Write a drabble about the important people in the inmate's lives. Beecher's Dad, Keller's wife Bonnie, Sister Pete's husband, Said's sister etc. Or write about what it means to be incarcerated and having your family visit you occasionally-- or not visit at all.
